The King painting didn’t make it into the final 15 of the RBC painting competition (it was a long shot with ~600 entries), so now I can post the process and final painting!

The base fabric layer gets embedded in gesso
Base layer of acrylic. The different fabrics absorb the pigments differently, especially when wet.
The first base layer of King vultures. The painting is temporarily called “King” for now.
